How far have you taken each mastery? I've found that resistance reduction is pretty much a must for dealing good damage on legendary difficulty. Both are very niche, and unless you are playing Xmas, are really boring builds on mobile. Oh, and Earth isn’t the only class that can deal damage with 100% absorption, Defense can do it with perfect block. If poison gas bomb also carried envenom tree, then absolutely. Oh, and while I know the envelop tree is “defensive” it doesn’t even come close to mitigating damage like the other classes have and you have to hit enemies and not kill them for it to be effective, which I have always thought to be counter intuitive. However, once you are in Epic, and have a full standard and some cool down, warfare becomes king. Sure, it’s easier then to level, but that doesn’t mean warfare is bad, it’s just a little bit slower. Dream and Warfare are almost identical until level 12, which is the absolutely earliest you can get Trance of Wrath. I agree that rune is the best early game because of elemental retaliation. I can t agree with gear dependencies killing warfare. Well, I play on mobile now, but played for years on PC prior. Throw in vision of death like you would your warhorn. Spirit aura utility plus damage reduction is possibly the most overpowered skill in the game. Look more at the poison tree which rogue can easily apply with throwing knives and flash powder. Spirit and rogue have fantastic defenses. This can become unbelieveable with reflection.Īs for the defenses you've not given due credit. Also regarding Earth while I agree due to cooldown prevalence it is the worst uninherited gear mastery it's the only class that can safely deal damage with 100% damage absorption. Dream because it's versatile and can support virtually whatever build you find you like and rune because that elemental damage bonus on your left click can carry most of the first 3 acts. The most new player friendly classes are probably dream or runemaster. It's not very new player friendly Warfare is a terrible mastery for leveling and doesn't shine until endgame. As far as gear dependencies warfare is as bad as they come. Rogue cause it has such mediocre defense (how dodge isn’t a rogue skill) and Defense, well, almost anything it can do, Warfare can do better.Ĭan't agree with you at all, but I can see your bias if you're on mobile. Rogue and Defense stand out as the most depressing. I know a lot of people won’t agree, and certainly, itemization can play a big role. S Tier: Warfare- Great offense, best defense, good utility and DW/PetsĪ Tier: Hunting- Great offense, good defense and utility, piercing/ranged Dream - Average offense, good defense, great utility, laser beams Nature- Average offense, good defense, best utility, pets/refreshī Tier: Rune- Good offense, average defense, good utility, elemental fun Spirit- Average offense, average defense, average utility, vitality damageĬ Tier: Storm- Average offense, bad defense, average utility, shards and lighting Rogue- Good offense, bad defense, average utility, traps and poisonĭ Tier: Earth - Bad offense, average Defense, bad utility, can be Int or Str Defense- Bad offense, great defense, bad utility, does nothing special Niche: What “only can be done with this mastery” does it have? Utility: What nice to haves does the mastery bring. Defense: How good is the mastery at mitigating damage and keeping you alive. Offense: How much damage does the mastery bring and scale. This isn’t favorite mastery, but it is the overall value of offense, defense, utility and niche. I was comparing the masteries to each other, because, why not, and I feel like I have a fairly acceptable tier list.
